PRINCE2 is a structured method for effective project management. It is designed to provide a framework covering the wide variety of disciplines and activities required within a project of any type in any environment.

PRINCE2 is a de facto standard used extensively by the UK government and is widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally. PRINCE2 is based on the experience of scores of projects, project managers and project teams who have contributed to it’s development.

The PRINCE2 course provides students with in-depth knowledge and understanding on the practical application of the PRINCE2 method. Upon completion of the Foundation level students should be comfortable working as part of a project team. Students who complete the Practitioner level should be comfortable managing projects using PRINCE2. Students will receive either a certificate in PRINCE2 at the Foundation level or PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate depending on the course selected.

Participants will work through the project lifecycle from starting a project through to proper closure of the project. During this journey they will consider all key aspects of the PRINCE2 method including:

This is an open course with no pre-requisite qualifications. Any experience in project teams would be beneficial.

To achieve the PRINCE2 qualifications, participants will need to successfully complete the relevant exams.

1. PRINCE2 Foundation Exam: this is a 1 hour multiple choice exam

2. PRINCE2 Practitioner Exam: this is a 2.5 hour Objective Test Exam

Participants must pass the Foundation exam before proceeding to the Practitioner exam.
